Brenda Sabbagh was born the 4th of October of 1993 in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Being a plastic artist and a cinematicraphic director, she studied in FUC, Universidad del Cine and different artists workshops such as, Dolores Casares, Elias Slonim and Ivana Roitberg. In 2018 she participated in an exhibition with Francesca Darget and Juana Rodriguez Simón in Casa Salvador.
After that, she lived in Israel for two years where she made various exhibitions in Orly Dvir Gallery including one at the gallery of Dizengoff Center. Right now she still studies with Ivana Roitberg and she is participating in a clinic with Tulio De Sagastizabal.
Both in her work of cinematography and paintings, she was always focused in the feminine world. Her short films are centered in women main characters, as in her paintings and photography. Her main interest is in working lights and shadows with the predominance of whites, always making a subtle work of the body in everyday relaxed situations, naturalizing their sexuality.
In her last work, she started centering her work on faces. Always with the goal of getting to the figure with few, but effective strokes.
